BREAKFAST
Village
Inn
Just north of Frank Lloyd Wright on Scottsdale Road. While we know
it is a chain, the employees here are friendly and the service is
great, not to mention the food. Try the skillets.
Harold's
Corral
While this one is in Cave Creek (Scottsdale's northern border),
it is a favorite of many Scottsdale residents. They have entertainment
in the evening, but a nice place for locals to go for breakfast.
Generous portions, good prices, and great atmosphere.
LUNCH
Dilly's Deli
Gourmet Sandwich Shop
Tasty Fresh-baked breads, gourmet sandwiches, salads, and soups
at excellent prices. Located in North Scottsdale at Acoma and Scottsdale
Road.
DINNER
Brennan's Sports Bar
(480) 951-8837
This family owned Scottsdale Sports bar is located in north Scottsdale
on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Thunderbird (SW Corner). The
Scottsdale Airpark Magazine described it as the "Cheers"
of the Airpark area. The staff are veterans - great service and
food. We can't think of a place to eat in North Scottsdale where
you can eat good fresh food at such great prices. A variety of Mexican
dishes. Great salsa. Hamburgers are a neighborhood favorite. If
you belly up to the bar, you might just see celebrities like Bob
Uecker (sportscaster) or Rex Chapman (former Phoenix Suns). If you
play golf in North Scottsdale, drop by here after for a "Brennan
Burger" and beer.
Zinc Bristo
Inspired by bistros in Europe and States, Terry Ellisor (owner)
came up with a charming place in the heart of Kierland Commons.
Chef and co-owner Matt Carter, who has worked under Chris Gross,
Michael DeMaria and Thomas Keller, is one of the best young chefs
in the Valley. The short ribs were delicious, but the bordelaise
sauce really made it great. Also, try the flat iron steak. Terrific!
